Nevada County Land Trust Special Edition Cabernet Franc Release

Last Fall, local vineyard owner, Peter Arnold, donated all of his Silver Springs Vineyard 2006 Cabernet Franc harvest to the Land Trust. Volunteers tirelessly, and without previous experience, harvested the grapes, and Nevada City Winery crushed, fermented and barrel-aged the wine.

For the past decade, Nevada City Winery has depended on Silver Springs Vineyard as its principal supplier of cabernet franc. During that time, winemaker Mark Foster has won one double gold, 10 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze medals for wines made largely from this vineyard.
